1. Eligibility and Age Restrictions
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account, use the Pairwise application, or purchase virtual currency ("Stars"). By accessing or using our platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with Spectrumwise LTD.
If we discover or have reasonable grounds to suspect that you are under 18 years of age, we will immediately close your account, delete your personal data, and forfeit any accumulated virtual currency without notice or refund.
2. Account Registration and Verification
To maintain a safe and authentic environment, Pairwise employs a mandatory profile verification system. You may be required to submit a real-time photo mimicking a specific gesture requested by the application. We will compare this verification photo against your uploaded account photos to confirm your identity.
Spectrumwise LTD reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail to pass this verification process or attempt to bypass it using fake, manipulated, or third-party images.
3. Virtual Currency ("Stars") and Refund Policy
- Purchasing Stars: Stars are a limited, non-transferable license for use within the platform and have no real-world monetary value.
- General Rule - All Sales are Final: All purchases of virtual currency are final and non-refundable. Because Stars are digital items credited to your account for immediate use, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cash equivalents for unused Stars.
- Waiver of Statutory Right of Withdrawal (UK/EU): If you reside in the UK or the EU, you generally have a 14-day right to cancel online purchases. However, by purchasing Stars, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal as soon as the Stars are credited.
- Third-Party Purchases: Transactions made via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are strictly subject to their respective refund policies. You must request refunds directly from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play support.
- Billing Errors: Refunds are only issued at our sole discretion for proven technical errors resulting in duplicate charges. Contact support within 7 days of the transaction.
4. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Moderation
We do not tolerate inappropriate, abusive, or illegal content. Users are solely responsible for the content they upload. If you encounter violations, you must use our in-app reporting feature. Spectrumwise LTD reserves the right to take the following actions:
- Content Removal: Immediate deletion of violating content.
- The "Two-Strike" Warning System: For minor violations, we issue a formal warning. If a user receives two identical warnings, their account will be permanently banned.
- Immediate Ban: For severe violations (explicit content, harassment, fraud), we reserve the right to bypass the warning system and permanently ban the user immediately. Banned users forfeit all accumulated "Stars" without any right to a refund.
5. Virtual Currency ("Stars") Policy
Our platform utilizes a virtual currency known as "Stars" for certain in-app features. Stars have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. There are three categories of Stars:
- Basic Stars: Granted upon account registration. The availability, timing, and amount of Basic Stars are determined solely at our discretion.
- Gift/Promotional Stars: Awarded for specific actions (e.g., daily logins) or during promotional events. The frequency, feasibility, and amount of these awards are determined entirely by Spectrumwise LTD. Important: Gift Stars expire and will be removed from your account balance at the end of the calendar month (on the last day of the month) if they are not used.
- Purchased Stars: Acquired through monetary payment within the application to access premium social features and interactive game modes.
Deduction Order:
When you spend Stars within the app, they are deducted from your balance in the following strict order:
- Gift/Promotional Stars (to help you use them before they expire)
- Basic Stars
- Purchased Stars
No Refunds Policy:
All types of Stars (Basic, Gift, and Purchased) are strictly non-refundable. They cannot be transferred, exchanged for money, or redeemed for real-world currency under any circumstances, even if your account is suspended, terminated, or voluntarily deleted.
6. Disclaimers, Liability, and Governing Law
Spectrumwise LTD provides the service "as is". We are not liable for user interactions or third-party service interruptions. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
